And yeah, I'm sure you now have ALL THE QUESTIONS. Most of which I probably can't answer. But here's what I CAN say:
~ That is Sophie, Keefe, and Biana on the cover
(YES--WE FINALLY GET TO SEE BIANA--DOESN'T SHE LOOK BEAUTIFUL???)
~ No, Fitz and Dex aren't on the cover, but YES they are in the book just as much.
~ Yes, that IS Biana's hand grabbing Keefe's arm. And no, I have no comment on that.
(Though I'm sure the fandom will have LOTS of thoughts...)
~ Yes, they all look worried--and rightfully so. A humongous wave is crashing over them!
And...that's it. I can't tell you what the scene is, or where they are, or at what point that scene happens in the story. For that, you'll have to wait for the book
So I know the next logical question is; when does the book come out?!?!?!?
And the only answer I can give is: Fall 2015. It'll probably be November like EVERBLAZE, but release dates change all the time, so I won't have an exact date to give you until we're closer to that season. Plus, yanno, I'm still writing the book, so there's that. Realllllllllllllllllllllly need to finish...
So how about I go back to writing and you guys go back to staring at the gloriousness and we'll see how long it takes before the first fan art from the new cover pops up on the Internetz?

DeleteAnyway, here is my comment, spoiler-free (hopefully, just delete it if it isn't, and I'll try a third time), since I still had the framework, and it took way too long to type to just ditch the whole thing:
Reasons to support the necklace being an ogre city light leaping crystal:
1. He-who-shall-not-be-spoiled said they couldn't follow him because, they didn't have a green crystal *right then and there*
2. He-who-shall-not-be-spoiled also said it, because since things fell apart with the ogres, it would be *really* difficult to obtain a crystal to their cities, because, obviously, they try to control all the crystals into their cities, so if and when/if they do/if get a green crystal, it would probably be illegal, ('cause they're not on the best terms with the council right now
3. Another-person-who-shall-not-be-spoiled cursed when he heard that, because that means the Organization-which-shall-not-be-spoiled is working with the ogres, (or the ogres are hiding them), and that complicates things much further
4. Crystals to the Forbidden Cities are supposed to be 'cobalt blue.' Though the necklace may *look* teal-y blue, I hope we can agree that it isn't *cobalt;* cobalt blue is a little bit darker than the 'publish' button, when you post a comment.

Fitz understands Sophie. He has seen first hand what she had gone through with her human family, etc. And, let's not forget; He was her first friend. He helped her when she needed a shoulder to cry on. Fitz is always so sweet. I have nothing against Keefe (he is super funny and cute!) but i think we need more Fitz! He is so thoughtful and is always willing to help Sophie in any way possible.

Keefe has always treated Sophie with respect, and never has been mean or betrayed her (unlike a few fictional boys I could mention...). He is probably the only character in a book who can make me laugh out loud. As Shannon said, he's the character with the most deleted lines, which means he's more *refined* and *perfect.*
DeletePlus he's practically alone in the world. Even if you haven't read 'Everblaze,' or 'Exile,' you know his family is no good. Where is he going to go? Fitz has amazing family and probably a pretty good number of friends. Also, when Keefe's family secret is out, if has has plenty of friends, who knows if they'll stay by him.

DeleteFitz may have been angry at her and she may have felt betrayed, but you must look at all the facts before you accuse him falsely. He had reason to believe that she had something to do with what happened. He also had a tight bond with the person that got harmed. (trying to stay spoiler free!) And Fitz apologized and Sophie accepted and forgave him. Fitz may have other girls, but so does Keefe. You must realize that Keefe is popular too. He has plenty of other girls, too. Biana and Keefe are totally together. Than Sophie and Fitz belong together. Dex will find someone awesome in this next book or any other ones (if there are other ones). So, yeah.
DeleteKeefe is more Stellar than the Sun, the Stars and the Moon, or even Elementine... He could lead the universe with his epic empath powers, because those are obviously the best, because telepathy can be blocked but it is harder to block emotions, so he can basically read your mind without breaking the laws. Keefe is the best. And the only reason he plays pranks is because his father doesn't really love him, and he is seeking attention from outside influences. He truly likes Sophie, unlike Fitz who is more interested in the anomalies in her life than her. Overall Keefe is the best choice.

DeleteHonestly, I think there is a lot of Keefe. Not that that's a bad thing, but I personally think there isn't enough of Fitz. (My personal opinion.) They are both great, but I like Fitz a lot more *because* he actually made a couple mistakes. Like that just makes him more...human. Just because he was mad at Sophie doesn't instantly turn him into a terrible person or friend. Haven't you ever gotten into a fight with a close friend before? It's not the end of the world. Besides, Fitz is amazing! So is Keefe, but I just like Fitz a lot more. :) Just saying:P

DeleteTeam Keefe and Foster! Keefe is so kind and gentle, and when Sophie is stressed or mad, he always gets her to laugh and relax. Besides, Fitz is great too but he obviously sees Sophie as a little girl. Treats her like a child and actually called her a little kid in Exile, plus he said something like, "I always wanted another little sister" in the first book. He's also totally jelly that her abilities are more advanced than his, as he revealed in Exile. Fitz showed what he really thinks about Sophie when he accused her.

I like Fitz because i can relate to him sooooooo much more than i can ti Keefe. Sure, Keefe is great, but i just like Fitz better. Everyone makes mistakes, Fitz learned from it and became a better person in Evrblaze. Yeah Keefe can make Sophie feel better, but a couple of times thebook said that Sophie was to mad/sad/nervous or whatever to laugh at one of his jokes. Fitz just talks to her and makes her feel better with out having to joke all the time. I love keefe, hes great, but i feel like fitz is better fo sophie:)
DeleteIn the beginning, Fitz may have thought of Sophie as a "younger sibling" but in Everblaze it is obvious his feelings have changed about her. And when he is mad, he said things he didn't really mean. He was just so devastated that he said anything, even if it was a lie, to try to make her feel bad. Everyone grieves in different ways. Fitz got mad and ignored everyone. Not just Sophie. Although he may have yelled at her, he apologized and she forgave him.

DeleteI know this decision may not be very popular here, but I think Sophie should stay single. Not forever of course, but first of all, it wouldn't disappoint any shipping team. Personally, I am always disappointed when the heroine of a story falls head over heels for someone and loses most of her common sense and girl power. Don't get me wrong, romance can be a good thing, but I don't want it in this series.

Biana is different from what i imagined her my thought was that she was shorter and looked more girly than she does on the cover but she looks great either way.

DeleteI'm with you 100%, Anonymous. If they're going to spend the rest of their almost-infinite lives together (Biana and Keefe), they've got to at least, speak. I mean, WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO TALK ABOUT ONCE THEY'RE MARRIED?
Plus, can't you imagine this scenario?:
Keefe comes home from putting a muskox under one of the councillor's thrones, so he smells of it. He comes into the house and sits down in the kitchen, helping himself to a slice of mallowmelt, and a glass of lushberry juice. Biana comes in, (if you've read Everblaze, you'll know *how* she came in...) and screams, "Oh, you big stinky boy, get off my freshly embroidered kitchen-chair-cushion! I just finished it this morning!" Keefe comes over to give her a hug, but, "No! This is a new dress, for Uncle Orem's light ceremony! I don't want it all stinky, what would people say? Get outside and wash yourself for a year, until I can't smell any muskox! Why can't you just go to work every morning and come home every night like a normal elf?" Keefe, dejected, goes out to wash.
Okay, I'm sorry, I made Biana a little *too* girly. But can't you see that happening?
Oh, and it's a challenge, Team Keana, find a part in any KotLC when the couple in question speak to each other.
Well... if you think about it, the whole "These-Two-People-Don't-Quite-Seem-To-Get-Along-Well-Enough-To-Fall-For-Each-Other-But-They-Actually-End-Up-Fitting-Together-Quite-Nicely" plot twist happens in a lot of books and movies. Like Percabeth. I certainly didn't see that one coming in the first few books.

Yeah, mean to her in Exile, but he sincerely apologized andhe apoligized to her again in Everblaze(kinda). He was the one Sophie thought about and called to in the first book hen she was kidnapped.Also, she ovbiously has a crush on him but inEverbalze when their doing the whole training thing that Tiergan made up it said that her heart beat slow or something, like it wasn't a silly flutter anymore but something else(something like that). I just think they comeplement each other in so many ways and their perfect.

I honestly don't know yet! I have a few projects at different stages of being created--and I love them all very much. So it will probably be one of them. But at the moment my mind is still so deep in the world of the series in progress that I haven't had time to really commit to that will be "next."
