So yeah...I'm going to be a very busy girl this weekend. And whether I'll make it home in time to put a post together for Monday is anyone's guess at this point. So I'll just say: Have a great weekend and I promise an update on the conference as soon as I get back and my brain starts working again!

Oh, and if you're going to be there, let me know. I'll try to track you down!

  1. Have a great weekend. I'm at a 2 day mortgage foreclosure prevention and loan modification training. Yours sounds more fun though I'm getting useful information.

  2. I'm so jealous at how many great conferences you get to go to. ;)

  3. I lived in Santa Cruz for a couple months years ago. Monterey Bay is beautiful. Sounds like a busy conference, enjoy!

  4. Wow! Exciting!! Enjoy yourself and be careful. (Sorry, I always say to be careful. Mom thing.)

  5. Oh, that looks like such a beautiful setting. Enjoy the workshop, and enjoy the view!

  6. I"ve heard Big Sur is supposed to be awesome. Stupid me living on the wrong side of the country.

  7. Have a fabulous time, Shannon! Can you send me some of your brain cells afterward?

  8. Oh my gosh, looks fantabulous! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

  9. Is that building floating on water!??! Wow!!!

Yay for your Box lunch - don't forget to pick it up!!

Sounds so intense but fun!! Enjoy!! Take care

  10. Yay for writing conferences! I just signed up for a local one later on this month. I went last year and had a blast!

  11. Have ANOTHER great conference, #1! :-)

  12. I've ALWAYS wanted to go to the Big Sur conference. Hope you have a wonderful time!

  13. I love Monterey. I grew up in San Jose, my friends and I would cut school and hang out in Monterey for kicks and giggles. I'd say go to the aquarium if you had a minute but you sound to busy to breathe.

Sounds like a great conference. Enjoy.

  14. It sounds fabulous. Have fun! I met Kelly Sonnack a couple of weeks ago and she is AWESOME!

  15. Monterey is beautiful -- we love to go there!

Have a great weekend. Wish I were there -- it sounds like fun!

  16. A couple of years ago, I went to the Big Sur workshop. So many great, great people there: Alvina Ling, Jay Asher, Ellen Hopkins.

Hope you learn so so much -- and get really inspired.

Is the conference at the Embassy Suites, or are you having to commute to Big Sur?

  17. Wow, lucky you! Have a great time and remember to eat and sleep once in a while!

  18. I had seriously considered going to this. I had even filed out the registration form, but then backed out. Do let us know about your experiences.

  19. I hope you had a wonderful weekend, Shannon! I hear that the Big Sur Workshop is one of the best.

  20. Looks like a great conference. Hope you have a spectacular time. :)

  21. Looks like a great conference. I thought about going to the December one because Neal Schusterman and Sarah Zarr were there. *sigh* I would have loved to hear their words of wisdom.

Yay-I love comments! Thank you so much! (But please remember to keep your comments spoiler-free. Also, I try to keep this a happy, positive place. Any arguing or intense debate--on any subject will be removed. Let's keep this a safe, fun space.
