Marvelous Middle Grade Monday: A Whole Nother Story--and A SIGNED BOOK GIVEAWAY!!!

Yay--I did it! I put together another MMGM--which is a pretty huge miracle considering how swamped I am right now. But I couldn't let you guys down again. Plus I have an awesome book to feature: A WHOLE NOTHER STORY, by Dr. Cuthbert Soup.

Here's the official summary from the publisher:

The Cheesemans are a family on the run. Mr. Cheeseman and his late wife invented a device so powerful and amazing that all sorts of evildoers want to get their greedy hands on it. Mr. Cheeseman and his three children must keep their identities secret and stay one step ahead of the villains as they run from town to town, escape dangerous situations, even change their names. Luckily, though they may not have the names they were born with, they do have their smarts — and quite a bit of good luck. They’ll soon encounter a bunch of unusual but helpful characters, some of whom are really far more than they appear to be.

The first of these characters is Dr. Cuthbert Soup. He not only runs the National Center for Unsolicited Advice, he also serves as narrator for this madcap adventure story, offering a word or two of wisdom from time to time. Sometimes, Dr. Soup even has four words — like now:

Listen to this book.

If you can't tell, this book has a definite Lemony Snicket, Pseudonymous Bosch feel to it--but it's also completely original. And it's HILARIOUS.  I mean--it has a sock puppet named Steve for a main character--do I need to say more?

Boys will love this book. Girls will love this book. YOU will love this book--trust me, it's not just for kids. It's silly and quirky and laugh out loud funny. I adored it.

I wish I had more time to gush about it, but I MUST get back to work. Plus, I don't want to spoil it for anyone else--you all need to read it.  Which is why I'm giving away a copy to one of you today--and ITS SIGNED. (Side note: the author is just as hilarious in person as he is on the page. If you EVER get the chance to hit one of his signings--DO IT!) :)

To enter, make sure you follow my blog, and leave a comment on this post by 11:59 pm PST on Saturday, March 25th. I'll announce the random winner on Sunday, March 26th. International entries welcome.

Ready.....go!
