Six years ago--on July 10, 2004--I made one of the best decisions I've made in my relatively short life, and married the greatest guy ever.
I honestly don't remember much about the wedding. It was all kind of a blur of, "go here", "pose this way", "say 'hi' to this person"--plus a whole lot of trying not to trip or spill anything on my dress (though Miles took care of that for me when he lost his balance and stepped on part of it as we did this pose. Left a nice big footprint. Men!) :)
And don't worry, I'm not going to get sappy or wax poetic. I simply thought I'd mention, since this is still one of the most important days of the year to me. We celebrate every year by going back to San Diego and staying at the same hotel we stayed at after our wedding.
And this year, I'm planning to unplug. No email. No work. (You'll probably see me on Twitter, but come on, I have to have SOMETHING!) Just some much needed R&R, hanging out by the pool with a good book and my wonderful husband beside me. It'll be a short trip (we're just going for the weekend--it'll be back to life as usual on Monday) but with everything I've been juggling it'll be just what I need.
Hope you all have an equally wonderful weekend, and I'll see you on Monday!
