EPIC Contest- Win a SIGNED Copy of Twilight!!!!

Yes, you read the title correctly. I am giving away my very precious, very special SIGNED copy of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

Why--you may wonder?

Well, for one thing--contrary to popular opinion--I CAN be nice. (You know...when I want to be, at least.) But mostly it's because it's extra, and I got it signed at a Charity event I went to, and well, it just doesn't seem very charitable to keep it sitting uselessly on my shelf next to its twin when there are so many other people out there who would probably LOVE to have it. So basically, I've decided it's time to share!

Okay, here's a few glimpses of the FABULOUS prize to be won. :)

See! It's not a printed signature! You can see where the pen bled through the page!

Now, first of all, you may notice that this is not the hardcover edition--nor is it the paperback with the iconic cover. This is the movie tie-in paperback, the smaller one. Not sure if that bothers you in the slightest, but I wanted to make it clear just in case. :)

And that really is a real signature you're seeing in the pictures. I've met Stephenie Meyer. Here's my proof. (And sorry, it's not that great of a picture. My husband took it, and he doesn't have much of a concept of framing.) The blonde person she's talking to is me.*

*Note: The hardcover book she's signing in the picture is NOT the book I'm giving away. That one's mine, signed to me personally.  :)

Okay, time for the Contest Rules (I'll do my best to be clear)

1) You must be a follower of my blog in order to enter. It doesn't matter if you're an old or new follower, just make sure you click the follow button BEFORE you enter, otherwise I won't be able to count your entry. (Oh, and make sure you follow publicly. I can't track anonymous followers.)

2) You must have a US mailing address I can send the prize to. I'm so sorry to my international followers, but I can't afford to ship internationally

3) You must fill out the form at the end of this post in order to enter. Do not enter through the comments. I appreciate comments, and welcome any feedback about this contest, but I won't be taking contest entries through the comments (It would be too easy to miss someone that way)

4) You must answer the following question on the entry form: If you could change one thing about Edward Cullen what would it be and why? (I'm not judging the answers, I'm just trying to make sure you're a fan of the book. I'd rather not have it go to someone who just wants to sell it on ebay. I know I can't prevent that, but I'm at least going to try to discourage it.)

5) You must enter before Midnight (Pacific Standard Time) on Thursday December 10, 2009. Winner will be announced Friday, December 11th.

How do entries work?

- Everyone who fills out the contest form will get one (1) entry.*

- Everyone who writes an actual post about this contest on their blog/website (sorry, sidebar doesn't count) will get two (2) additional entries. (You must provide me with a link to the post so I can verify)

- Everyone who tweets a link to the contest will get one (1) additional entry. (You must include my twitter name: @packratx in the tweet so I can track it through my @replies)

Which means everyone could have up to four chances to win, depending on how much you help spread the word about the contest.

How will I choose/notify the winner?


All entries will be made into a spreadsheet and I will use randomizer.org to select the winner.

I will close the contest to entries at Midnight on December 10th. The winner will be posted on December 11th and I will email them for their mailing address. However, it is still the winner's responsibility to contact me. If I have not received your mailing address within 3 days of the contest ending I will have no choice but to choose a new winner and give the prize to them.

I will ship the prize the first business day after I receive the winner's mailing address. I cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas, and I will not be paying for expedited shipping. Sorry.
